Witch Hunting (Opening)

Six dancers from different cultures share the empty stage. Through their movements, they express how they see the world and their own bodies. The performance addresses the questions: What is cultural identity? What does community mean? And what connects people in a country? It also deals with how people are made scapegoats and thus unjustly accused. This happens in many societies and ultimately affects everyone. Witch Hunting encourages us to think about fairness, solidarity, and the concept of the “common good.” To express themselves, the dancers use various dance styles such as krumping, popping, hip-hop, and traditional and urban African dances.
