At first the performers in LOEV try everything to impress each other. They move around like strange species. Playing, whistling, honking, and showing off, they parade around. One is shyly trying to attract attention, cautiously hopping. The other playfully wrestles too hard and is called back. Who impresses whom? Who reflects whom? Emotions run high. Higher and higher… Is everything going alright? LOEV is a co-production of AYA and Maat Saxophone Quartet. A dance performance with live music about love and connection. About finding someone so amazing that you can no longer stand still. About friendship and wanting to belong. This playful performance with four dancers and four musicians shows that love in all its forms is stronger than hate.
“Dancing at an incredibly high level, the group moves through scenic advances, unrequited feelings, affection and rejection and the performers captivate the children in dynamic, whirling and really smart choreographies. Driven and supported by the Maat Saxophone Quartet.”
