House Dance/Club Culture

With this workshop you will get to know the fundamentals of House Dance. The dance style is an ensemble of different dance styles, which came together in the Clubs of New York in the late 70s and early 80s. The special movement is hereby the “jack” which identifies House dancers as such. Beside a theoretical input about the position of the dance inside the club culture, the biggest part of the workshop will focus on movement elements: basic steps, variations, choreographic combinations as well as free try outs by yourself.

The workshop is aimed at young people aged 14 – 20.
Sunday from 11:00 – 16:00

Previous knowledge is not required, but a lot of fun and desire to dance!
Participation is free of charge and only with prior registration by January 20th under: workshop@purple-tanzfestival.de

We offer water and a lunch buffet for all participants, for which we ask for a contribution of 5,-€ – please bring cash.
