A dance performance for a deaf and hearing audience ages 4 and up
Wild and soft, round as a ball and angular, shimmering and fluid, firm and fluttering, heavy and floating—three performers play with objects and bodies, dance and drum, stomp and jump, tap and make sounds. The partially deaf performer Geli Strahl, dancer Moonjoo Kim, and drummer Rie Watanabe explore rhythms, vibrations, and oscillations that flow through the body, inviting the audience to engage with all their senses—without a single word. A journey of discovery through sound waves, body waves, and “wow” moments for both deaf and hearing audiences—calm and fast-paced, clear and chaotic, precise and haphazard, humorous, quirky, playful, crazy—BÄÄÄM.
